Lakers Seven Game Scoring Streak Ends in NoCo

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- The Oswego State men's soccer team saw its seven-game scoring streak come to an end in the North Country on Saturday afternoon, suffering a tight loss to Plattsburgh. Oswego recorded more on-goal attempts than the Cardinals but were unable to cash in on those opportunities.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Plattsburgh was able to tally one goal in each half to earn the win. 
  • The Lakers had six on-goal opportunities in the second half to Plattsburgh's single opportunity but none were able to find the back of the net. 
  • Caleb Asamoah, Caleb Munski, Steven Rojas and Kyle Scalzo each recorded two on-target opportunities. Logan Sperano had the other on-goal shot.
  • Oswego outshot Plattsburgh in both total shots (17-6) and on-target chances (9-5). 
  • The Lakers held an advantage over the Cardinals in corner kicks as well (9-2). Six of Oswego's corners came in the second half.
  • In 90 minutes between the pipes for Brian Terra, the junior made three saves. 
WHAT'S NEXT

The Lakers will conclude their regular season with two SUNYAC road games next weekend, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday against Fredonia.
