CASTLETON, Vt. - Junior Philomena Teggart scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as the Oswego State women's ice hockey team scored the first four goals in the team's 5-2 road victory over Castleton.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Junior Emma Morisette put the Lakers up early at 2:43 of the first period on a goal assisted by Eryn Stewart and Kyleigh Grugin.
• The Oswego power-play netted the second goal on Teggart's first of the season and Stewart's second assist of the contest at 6:47 of the first period.
• It was an all-freshman tally as newcomer Megan Teachout scored the third goal of the period on assists from Mia Conboy and Morgan Shines.
• Teggart and the power-play were back at it in the second period when they extended the lead out to 4-0 at the 5:57 mark.
• Senior captain Kate Randazzo and junior Amber Thomas got assists on the goal.
• The Spartans cut into the lead a few minutes later, but Avery Webster scored late in the period on a Teggart assist to keep the Lakers comfortably in front.
• Castleton got a shorthanded goal midway through the third period to conclude scoring.
• Senior Rachael Farmer earns the win in goal with 18 saves in the contest.
• Oswego had the lead in shots (35-20) while Castleton won more faceoffs (33-30).
• Thomas led Oswego with 14 faceoffs won.
