OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State women's ice hockey team earned a 3-3 tie with NEWHL conference foe SUNY Cortland on Saturday afternoon at the Marano Campus Center Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Oswego jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a goal in each of the first three periods.
• Amber Thomas continued her hot streak with a tally at 6:32 of the opening stanza on assists from Eryn Stewart and Kate Randazzo.
• It was the power play unit that lit the lamp in the second when Randazzo scored at the 10:55 mark for her second goal of the season.
• Thomas and Stewart notched assists for their second points of the contest.
• Sophomore forward Emily Gustafson tallied her first of the season at 9:27, with Bailey Thomas and Morgan Shines tallying assists.
• Cortland scored three goals over the final eight minutes of the contest to force the tie.
• Senior Rachael Farmer made 21 saves int he contest.
• Oswego led in shots (41-40), shots on goal (27-24) and faceoffs won (33-19).
