ALFRED, N.Y. - Behind a pair of double-doubles from senior setter
Julia Flohr, the Oswego State volleyball team won a pair of matches on Saturday to improve their record to 20-9 on the season. The Lakers took down Alfred, 3-1, and then swept SUNY Polytechnic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Flohr put up 31 assists, 12 digs and five aces in helping Oswego take the opening two sets 25-16 and 25-21.
- After dropping the third set to the Saxons, the team was neck-and-neck in the fourth but made a late push before setting senior middle Shannon Stone for match point.
- Stone had nine kills on 16 swings and freshman Sydney Chiffriller had eight kills and 15 digs.
- Outside hitter Sarah Massie had seven kills and nine digs while classmate Lauren Fie had seven kills.
- Middle Emily Klock, right side Melissa Lussier and Flohr all had four kills in the match.
- Reserves Julia Pacitto and Emma Fiorentine each had three kills and Dana Carey had two.
- Setter Mckenna Corbin had 10 assists and six digs.
- Sophomore libero Skylar Bechard hit double-digit digs with 10.
- Massie led the way against SUNY Poly with 11 kills while Flohr had 22 assists, 10 digs and six kills.
- The Lakers got 13 aces in the three-set match with senior Shauna O'Flaherty leading the way with four.
- Junior libero Emily Costa had 10 digs to lead the defense in holding the Wildcats to 17 kills and 17 errors.
- The 20 wins eclipses the 19 the team recorded last season.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers hit the road for a 6 p.m. match at Cortland on Tuesday in the SUNYAC Quarterfinal round.
