POTSDAM, N.Y. - For the second time this season, the Oswego State women's ice hockey team scored all three goals on power-play opportunities, defeating Potsdam 3-1. With the victory, the Lakers jumped over the Bears for third place in the NEWHL standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Eryn Stewart put the Lakers up early at 8:51 of the first period on a goal assisted by Amber Thomas and Bailey Thomas.
- After a scoreless second period, it was an all-freshman tally as Kyleigh Grugin scored her second goal in as many days. Megan Teachout and Morgan Shines recorded assists on the play.
- Potsdam cut Oswego's lead in half, less than a minute later at the 8:30 mark, making it a 2-1 game.
- Eryn Stewart and Megan Teachout connected with A. Thomas for the insurance goal at 15:48 of the third period. The goal moved Thomas out of a four-way tie for the team lead, giving her sole possession with four.
- Stewart's assist marked her tenth of the season, surpassing her career-high.
- Rachael Farmer earned the win between the pipes, stopping 26 shots.
- Oswego held the lead in shots (46-27) while Potsdam won more faceoffs (34-31).
- A. Thomas and Mia Conboy combined for 22 faceoffs won.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego will return to action Saturday, December 4th for a home tilt against NEWHL foe Cortland at 7 p.m. The game also marks the Lakers' annual hats, mittens and coats drive.
