- Salve Regina was able to cut into the deficit at the 14-minute mark with their own power play tally.
- Early in the second period, the Seahawks tied it up on their second power play opportunity.
- Oswego got two more power play chances in the period and capitalized on the latter with a goal from Travis Broughman at 17:23.
- His goal was assisted by Emerson and behind 15 saves from Cedric Hansen through the first two periods, had the Lakers primed for the upset.
- After a pair of penalties on both teams early in the third, Salve Regina scored on a 4-on-4 opportunity just 1:26 into the final stanza.
- The Seahawks poured in three more goals in the next 11 minutes to cement the game.
- Oswego won the faceoff battle (31-28) led by Passero (9), Emerson (8) and senior Josh Zizek (8).
- The Lakers outshot Salve Regina by a 41-26 margin led by Broughman's seven chances.
