PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's ice hockey fell on the road in Northeast Women's Hockey League action to No.1 Plattsburgh by a score of 7-1 on Friday night. Sophomore
Avery Webster recorded the lone goal for the Lakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Plattsburgh opened the scoring with a goal from the front of the net by Kaitlyn Drew-Mead assisted by Holly Schmelzer at 10:30 of the first period.
- Rachael Farmer snagged 18 shots in the first period to hold Plattsburgh to one goal.
- Plattsburgh would add another two goals to their lead in under two minutes to start the second period and Drew-Mead would earn a hat trick in the contest as the Cardinals pulled away.
- Freshman Tia Trovato made her NCAA debut with less than three minutes remaining in the second period and made nine saves the rest of the way.
- In the third period, Webster ripped a slap shot from the top of the faceoff circle for her first goal of the season to put Oswego on the board. The goal was unassisted.
- Freshman Maura McKeown won 5-of-7 faceoffs on the night for the Lakers.
- Rachael Farmer made 30 saves in the contest while Trovato finished strong with a .900 save percentage.
