BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Oswego State women's basketball team ran into a hot-shooting Brockport team on the road and fell by a score of 82-55 on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers got off to another strong start in the first quarter, taking an 18-16 lead with 3:44 remaining behind seven points from Quincey Zimmerman.
• A 12-0 run by the Golden Eagles over the next three minutes helped the home team to a 30-22 advantage heading into the second.
• Oswego got 3-pointers from Raiven Encarnacion and Ramatoulaye Sy early in the second quarter to cut the lead to six, but an 18-2 run put Brockport up 52-32 at the half.
• Needing a win to stay alive for a berth into the SUNYAC Championship Tournament, Brockport shot 57% from the field in the first half, including 66.7% from distance.
• The Golden Eagles continued to pull away from the Lakers in the second half despite Encarnacion pouring in 19 points on the evening.
• Sy added 11 points and seven rebounds while Rachael Windhausen had nine and nine, respectively.
• Erin Gantley led Oswego with four assists and Logan Castiglione had a team-high three steals off the bench.
