PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Rachael Windhausen put together another career-high performance of 34 points and 21 rebounds, as the Oswego State women's basketball team fell 83-76 to Plattsburgh in double-overtime on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing 6-0 early in the first period, the Lakers countered with a 7-0 run to take their first lead of the contest at 4:33.
- Windhausen and Raiven Encarnacion combined for eight points during the first four minutes of the second period to get Oswego within 21-20 of Plattsburgh, but the Cardinal countered with a 10-0 run to try and ice the game before halftime.
- A 3-pointer by Quincey Zimmerman and layup by Encarnacion brought the Lakers back within striking distance at 31-25 after two quarters.
- With four and half minutes to go in the third, the Cardinals stretched their up lead up to 44-33, forcing the Lakers to claw back again by taking a 45-44 lead into the final period, capped off by a 3-pointer from Zimmerman.
- The hot run led by Windhausen for the Lakers continued into the fourth, reaching its largest lead of 53-44 just over three minutes in. Windhausen accounted for 14 of the Lakers' 16 points in the quarter.
- Plattsburgh chipped away at the Laker lead until they got the tying bucket with 11 seconds left in regulation to force overtime with the score tied at 61-61.
- Encarnacion answered a Plattsburgh 3-pointer with one of her own to tie it up 67-67 with 1:30 remaining in the first overtime, leading to a second overtime period.
- In the second overtime, Oswego built a 74-69 lead on five points from Encarnacion and a layup by Zimmerman with 2:49 remaining. Plattsburgh went on a 12-0 run to seal the win.
- Windhausen's career-highs in points (34) and rebounds (21) comes a day after she did so against Potsdam in her 24-point, 16-rebound performance. Today she also went 12-for-15 shooting from the field, a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe, and blocked two shots.
- Her point total is the sixth highest score in Oswego State women's basketball history and the best since a 37-point outburst from Kelly Mraz in a 2005 four overtime game.
- Encarnacion finished with a career-high herself of 21 points while also grabbing eight boards. She scored 10 of the Lakers 13 points in the overtime frames. Zimmerman finished with 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
