OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's lacrosse team clinched the final spot for the 2019 SUNYAC Championship with its 15-6 Senior Day win over Oneonta on Saturday afternoon.
Kyle Bacon led the squad in scoring, accounting for five Laker goals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers opened a quick 3-0 lead fueled by goals off the sticks of Bacon, Evan Hollfelder and Dan Doolan. Hollfelder owned the game-opening goal at 12:21 and had the assist on Bacon's score.
- After a tally by the Red Dragons, the Lakers went on a five-goal run, closing out the first quarter with two goals and opening the second with three.
- Through the span, Dan Doolan and Bacon each notched two goals, while Weston Gray had a goal and an assist. Hollfelder accounted for two assists.
- Goals by Gray and Bacon rounded out the first half, helping Oswego to a 10-2 lead.
- Gray penned his name in the scorebook once more, as he opened the second half with an unassisted, man-up goal less than two minutes into the third quarter.
- Bacon posted his last tally of the game at 10:53, again aided by Hollfelder.
- The third quarter saw a four-goal run for Oneonta to close it at 12-6.
- Oswego held the Red Dragons off the scoreboard in the final 15 minutes of the contest, while posting three goals to put the game away.
- Senior Bobby Emerson posted his 31st goal of the season unassisted at 10:01.
- In the final six minutes, Tim Schof posted a goal and an assist, helping Hollfelder to score with 3:20 left on the game clock.
- In goal, Kevin O'Donnell made seven saves for his eighth win of the season.
- The Lakers dominated the shot categories, posting 61 shots to Oneonta's 25 and 27 shots on-goal to the Red Dragons' 13. They also owned advantages in ground balls (31-19) and faceoffs (18-7).
- Oswego was effective on the clear attempt, going 20-for-21.

The fourth-seeded Lakers return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday as they travel to first-seeded Cortland for a SUNYAC semifinal matchup.
