Elianna Sanchez hit double-digit saves and nine different Lakers recorded goals in a 19-7 Oswego State women's lacrosse victory over SUNY New Paltz. With the win, Oswego clinches the fourth seed in the upcoming SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers raced out to a 9-1 lead in the first 13 minutes of action behind three goals from senior Toni Laneve and a pair from classmate Brigid Regin.
- Junior Kassidy Myers had a pair of goals in the run while Molly Beck had a goal and two assists.
- The Hawks cut into the Laker lead with a three-goal run to make it 9-4 with just under 10 minutes left in the first half.
- Two more goals by Beck, one from Myers and a tally by Montana Garrett would put Oswego in control at the break.
- In the second half, the Lakers outscored New Paltz, 6-2, with 2018 All-American Teresa Shattuck notching a pair of goals and an assist.
- Laneve, Camille O'Kane, Mckenna Chesbro and Haley Call accounted for the other second half goals for Oswego.
- Shattuck led the Lakers with six points (2g, 4a) and Beck had five (3g, 2a).
- Sanchez made five saves in each half to reach double-digits and earned her 10th win of the season.
- Oswego held advantages in shots (34-31), ground balls (12-9) and was 18-of-19 on clear attempts.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego will host fifth-seeded Oneonta at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in the opening round of the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Lakers defeated the Red Dragons, 14-13 in overtime, one week ago on Senior Day.
