Julia Flohr and junior
Melissa Lussier were named to the All-Tournament Team at the Elms College Invitational while leading the volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Albertus Magnus and a tournament-clinching 3-1 decision over host Elms.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening set against Albertus Magnus, Lussier and senior middle hitter Lauren Fie each had four kills to lead the offense.
- Libero Skylar Bechard had a run of four straight aces from the service line and the team out-hit the Falcons .478 to -.143.
- The Lakers started strong in the second set courtesy of an 8-1 run, but Albertus Magnus was able to close the lead back to 11-9.
- Junior libero Emily Costa used a four-point service run to push Oswego up 15-10, but the Falcons closed it back to 18-16 later in the set.
- Kills from Lussier, junior Emily Klock and freshmen Emma Fiorentine and Sydney Chiffriller would close the set at 25-19.
- Set three was close until six kills from senior co-captain Shauna O'Flaherty would proper the Lakers to the 25-11 finish.
- Against Elms, the Blazers built an early 9-4 lead before Bechard served the Lakers up 10-9.
- Tied at 12, the Lakers went on a 13-5 run behind three kills from O'Flaherty and two from Lussier to win 25-17.
- The second set was all Oswego as the Lakers started 9-1 and scored the final six points on strong serving from sophomore Julia Pacitto.
- It appeared that it was going to be a sweep when the Lakers held a 23-18 lead late in the third, but a scrappy 7-0 Blazer run forced a fourth set.
- Four kills each from Lussier and senior co-captain Sarah Massie helped Oswego turn a 10-10 tie into a 25-18 fourth-set victory.
- Lussier led Oswego with 31 points scored during the weekend on 27 kills, two aces, one solo block and two block assists.
- Fie hit an impressive .556 with 21 kills and only one error on 36 swings from the middle.
- Bechard recorded 11 aces and 30 digs in her eight sets of work to help hold the three opponents to a -.020 attack percentage.
- Behind Flohr's setting, the team notched 12.4 kills per set and hit .303 during the weekend.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego flies out on Thursday to Wisconsin for weekend matches at UW-Oshkosh on Friday and Saturday. The Lakers start with a 3:30 p.m. (CST) match with the host Titans of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
