OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision in conference action to Cortland at home on Tuesday evening. The loss drops the team's record to 8-4 overall and 0-1 in SUNYAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Oswego offense was clicking early with 14 kills in the first set, led by seniors Julia Flohr and Sarah Massie with three apiece.
- The Lakers moved an 11-11 tie out to a 24-20 lead late in the set.
- A 7-1 Red Dragon run to end the set gave the visitors the 1-0 lead.
- The second set was more back and forth with the teams trading the lead until 22-22.
- Cortland ran off the last three points to win the set 25-22 and take a commanding lead.
- The teams were close early in the third, but two big service runs were enough to close out the match.
- Junior Melissa Lussier led Oswego with a double-double on 10 kills and 15 digs.
- Classmate Emily Costa had a match-high 28 digs and senior Lauren Fie had eight kills.
- Flohr had a match-high 29 assists and eight digs while Shannon Stone added four blocks.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers head south to Pennsylvania for a Friday and Saturday tournament at Misercordia University. Play begins with a 4 p.m. matchup with Valley Forge and an 6 p.m. contest with Elizabethtown.
