UTICA, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team snapped a seven-match losing streak in dominant fashion at Utica College on Sunday afternoon. Oswego captured all but one of the matches in the nonconference competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego won each of the three doubles matches by at least two breaks, with the largest margin of victory going to Jenny Lapp and Mattie Wallace at third doubles (8-2).
- Lorrayne Broach and Lora Gould paired at second doubles for an easy 8-3 triumph while Erin Vargo and Eliza Johnson doubled up their counterparts in the first slot (8-4).
- Senior Broach and Junior Vargo went on two win each of their singles competitions. Broach won in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 at first singles while Vargo won by multiple breaks in both sets at third singles (6-3, 6-2).
- Gould, Lapp and Wallace collected victories at fourth, fifth and sixth singles, respectively. The trio did not allow an opponent more than four games in any given set.
- Johnson was a part of the tightest match on the day, going the distance at second singles. After winning the first set 6-3, the junior's opponent evened the match in the second set and squeaked by 7-5 in the decisive final set.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego will take a day off to rest but will return to the hard court at 3 p.m. on Tuesday when it hosts Alfred University in another nonconference tilt.
