PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team dropped a nonconference match at St. John Fisher College on Sunday afternoon. Oswego was able to capture one point in both doubles and singles competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior classmates Jenny Lapp and Lora Gould cruised in second doubles, downing their counterparts 8-2.
- Lapp continued her winning ways to the singles circuit, withstanding her opponent's comeback effort in the fifth slot.
- The Watertown, N.Y. native won the first set by a break, 6-4, but allowed the match to go even with a 6-1 hiccup in the second set. In the superset, Lapp held off her opponent for a 10-8 victory.
- Gould gave a valiant effort at fourth singles, nearly forcing a decisive superset. The Syracuse, N.Y. native forced a tiebreak in the second set as she trailed by one set, but eventually fell 7-6.

The Lakers begin SUNYAC action at 4 p.m. on Tuesday when they travel to Geneseo to face the Knights.
