NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - Behind 22 points from junior
Liam Sanborn, the Oswego State men's basketball team cruised past New Paltz by a score of 84-59, marking the third-straight conference win by 20 or more points for the Lakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- New Paltz sprinted out to 12-3 lead just four and a half minutes into the contest.
- Senior Brandan Gartland capped a 14-3 Laker run with a 3-pointer to give Oswego the lead with 11:52 left in the first half, one they would not relinquish the rest of the game.
- After trading 3-pointers in the next minute, the Lakers shifted gears and went on a 23-2 run over the next eight minutes behind 10 points from freshman Jeremiah Sparks to make it 43-20 with 2:10 left in the half.
- An 'and-one' by by freshman Jamal Achille in the final minute of the half made it a 46-25 score heading into the break.
- In the second half, the lead got no closer than 15 points while growing to as high as 27 when senior Tim Marshall sank a 3-pointer with 40 seconds left in the contest.
- Sparks (17), senior Joe Sullivan (12) and Gartland (10) all joined Sanborn in double figures while Sullivan had the team lead in rebounding with six.
- Sophomore Julien Crittendon scored six in the early run that got Oswego their initial separation from the Hawks.
- Oswego hit 11 threes to just five for the Hawks while shooting 45.8% from distance.
- Across their first five conference games, Oswego has the highest point differential (+76) in the SUNYAC.
