HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers took a 9-2 lead right out of the gate behind four points from senior Joe Sullivan.
- A 7-0 run from the Bears tied it up at 9-9 two minutes later.
- Oswego countered with an 8-0 run of their own in the next four minutes and a 17-9 lead.
- Action went back-and-forth as Oswego got an 'and-one' bucket and conversion from junior Liam Sanborn to remain up 28-21 with 6:11 left in the half.
- Potsdam's Brown scored seven in a row to culminate a 12-2 run that put the Bears up 33-30 with 1:13 to go.
- Gartland connected on a three from the top of the arc to knot the game at 33-33 heading into the break.
- Brown scored nine of Potsdam's first 11 second-half points as the visitors moved out to a 44-37 lead in the first four minutes of resumed action.
- Sullivan and freshman Jamal Achille fueled a 6-0 run to close it back to one with 13 minutes on the clock.
- With 7:08 remaining in the contest, Potsdam finished a 16-0 run for a 17-point lead at 62-45, with Brown topping all scorers with 35 points to that point.
- The Lakers outscored the Bears 17-14 down the stretch, but could not get back within striking distance.
- Second-half shooting was the story in this one as Potsdam held the Lakers to 28.1% while connecting on 54.8% of their shots.
- Sullivan finished with 16 points and Sanborn had 10.
