HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cortland grabbed the early lead with a fall at the heavyweight bout as Trentyn Rupert defeated Toryan Jones.
- Freshman John DeConno took a 6-5 decision at 125 and Hardin followed him with a win by fall to put the Lakers up 9-6.
- Cortland retook the lead at 15-9 with a technical fall at 141 and major-decision victory at 149.
- Junior Christian Gramuglia got Oswego back on track with a 4-2 decision over Ben Bivar at 157.
- At 165, Charlie Grygas improved his season mark to 27-5 with a 17-5 major decision to put Oswego back on top at 16-15.
- Isaac Mathews wrestled well in a decision-loss (0-6) against Cortland's Demitreus Henry, who appears in D3Wrestle.com's national rankings.
- Freshman Colby Harblin was in control from the start and finished Abby Luperon at 5:50 to move Oswego to 22-18.
- After an initial takedown, junior Aidan Mathews escaped and then scored a takedown of his own before finishing Odean Gray with a fall (1:32) and clinched the victory for the Lakers.
