HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego kept the game tight in the first quarter, going into the second only trailing by three (15-12).
- The Lakers shot 40% from the three-point line in the first quarter, led by Zimmerman with a pair.
- Oneonta pulled away in the second quarter with a 14-0 run from 6:11-3:33, giving the hosts a 31-17 lead.
- Another 13-3 run for the home team, ranging from 2:39 in the second quarter to 6:42 of the third, was pivotal in the outcome.
- Oswego did not give up as they went on a 10-2 run in the middle of the third quarter to cut the lead to 46-31 with 4:34 remaining in the quarter.
- The Laker run was lead by Sydni Eure who scored five of the 10 points.
- Taylor Torchia and Zimmerman took over in the fourth quarter, scoring a combined 11 points to keep the Lakers within reach.
- Torchia finished the game with 10 points, four steals, two assists and one rebound.
- Zimmerman led Oswego in rebounds with six total rebounds, one offensive and five defensive.
- Morgan Wolanin shot 50% from the field and 80% from the free-throw line, finishing with 10 points and one steal.
- Right behind in the lead in rebounds were Gantley (5), Eure (3), and Tatyana Fish (2)
- Leading the Lakers in points was Zimmerman with 14 total points.
- Torchia and Erin Gantey led the Lakers in steals with four a piece and sophomore Marie Sapp-Goleski was right behind with three steals.
