OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's ice hockey team rallied from a two-goal deficit as they tied the game with 6:51 remaining in the contest against No. 3 Geneseo. The Knights scored a pair of late goals to escape with a 5-3 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo opened the scoring on a 2-on-1 break at the 4:53 mark of the first period.
- The goal was scored by Devin Brink, assisted by Carson Kelley and Dan Bosio.
- Thanks to two power-play opportunities in the opening stanza, Oswego outshot the Knights by a margin of 24-10, including 13-6 in shots-on-goal but were unable to capitalize.
- Two electric saves from Steven Kozikoski kept the Lakers within one at the beginning of the second period as Oswego fought off a 4-on-3 penalty kill.
- Oswego went on their third power play at the 12:38 mark of the second, but a bad bounce led to a two-on-one break for Geneseo as Kozikoski came up huge for the Lakers to keep the lead at one.
- Geneseo extended their lead to two with a shot from the point that went over the shoulder of Kozikoski with 8:36 remaining in the second period.
- The Lakers went on their fourth power play of the contest with 4:13 remaining in the second period.
- Carson Vance scored with four seconds left on the man-advantage to bring the Lakers back within one.
- The goal was assisted by Tyler Currie (5) and Anthony Passero (17).
- At the start of the third period, the Lakers had the remainder of a 5-minute major to kill, thanks to multiple acrobatic saves, Kozikoski aided the Lakers to full-strength.
- After multiple chances, the Knights scored from the point on the power play with 14:06 remaining in the third period to put them up 3-1.
- The Lakers scored one of their own as Max Novick roofed one past Geneseo goaltender on a pass into the goal mouth by freshman Alex DiCarlo.
- Michael Gillespie tied the game just 1:14 after Novick's tally when Vance played a bank shot off the back wall to the far side of the net on what originally looked like a shot from the point, which fell perfectly to the open area.
- With 3:45 remaining in the third period, Geneseo took their final man-advantage of the contest. The Lakers killed the penalty against the top-ranked SUNYAC power play.
- Geneseo took the lead with 1:29 remaining in the third period with yet another shot from the point through traffic.
- After Oswego pulled their goalie, Geneseo found the vacant net to solidify the win for the knights.

The Lakers will take to the road Friday, as they take on the Morrisville State Mustangs in a SUNYAC matchup with a 7 p.m. puck drop.
