SALISBURY, Md. - The Oswego State baseball team dropped their second game of the season to a top-10 team with a 6-1 setback to No. 9 Salisbury on Sunday afternoon in Maryland. Oswego falls to 4-2 on the season as the Sea Gulls improve to 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Nick DeMarco (0-2) held the Salisbury offense in check during the first three innings.
- In the fourth, the Sea Gulls struck first with a solo homerun to kick off the scoring.
- The Lakers answered right back in the top of the fifth when Brendon Frank reached on an error, stole second and scored on a Lukas Olsson single to tie the game.
- Salisbury hit a second solo homer in the bottom of the inning to retake the advantage.
- The Sea Gulls broke the game open in the fifth with four singles and a double to plate three more runs.
- Oswego put a pair of runners aboard in the top of the eighth with singles from Olsson and Kyle Lauria, but Salisbury was able to shut down the Laker rally.
- In all, the Lakers put the leadoff man on base in 2-of-9 innings.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego heads south to Arcadia University for a doubleheader next Saturday with Salve Regina and the host institution, Knights.
