OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Lakers fell to Ithaca this afternoon in a dual-meet. Ithaca is currently ranked #14 in the country. Upperclassman Mathews and Grygas won their matches by decision for the green and gold.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Paul Wehr took Haycook to decision in the first matchup of the day in the 125 weight class.
- In the second match of the day, the Lakers' Alex Christman fell in a 10-6 decision.
- Oswego's took two straight decisions to cut the lead to 24-6 .
- Isaac Mathews won by decision 3-1 in a hard fought battle. Controlling the pace of the match Mathews took the 165 weight class decision.
- Charlie Grygas took a 5-4 decision just after Mathews.
- Grygas had an early takedown, but fell behind in the second period.
- Grygas fought back in the third period earning an escape and another takedown to give him the 5-4 victory by decision.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will go on the road to Cortland to compete in the 52
nd New York State Intercollegiate Championships. Matches will begin at 9:00AM on Saturday Nov. 20.
