FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Fredonia Blue Devils used a nine-point run in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Oswego State women's basketball team during a 59-48 Laker defeat. Freshman
Shania Iglesias led Oswego with 17 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego started strong with 50% shooting from the floor in the opening quarter to stay even at 17 with the Blue Devils.
- Iglesias had 11 points on a layup with 6:44 left in the second quarter to put Oswego up 24-23.
- Fredonia would finish the half on a 15-3 run to lead 38-27 at the break.
- The lead went out to 11 with a pair of three pointers from Fredonia's Renee Park early in the third quarter.
- An Iglesias layup and then seven straight from senior Danielle Caivana closed the gap back to a bucket at 41-39 at the 5:04 mark of the quarter.
- Freshman Diamond Pickett scored a pair of layups to close the game to 44-43 heading into the final quarter.
- The Blue Devils scored the first nine points of the fourth quarter and never looked back
- Pickett recorded a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double and Caivana finished with 12 points.
- Oswego outrebounded Fredonia by a 45-40 tally but were outshot 38.7% to 28.4%.
