Erie, Penn. – The Lakers were victorious over the Penn-State Behrend Lions this afternoon in a dual-meet. They started their dual at 149 after three back-to-back forfeits at the 125, 133, and 141 weight classes.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After the Lakers went up 18-0 due to forfeits at the 125, 133 and 141 weight classes, CJ Walz started the action in a Major Decision 15-5.  
• Tommy Coll continued the momentum with a Fall just 1:14 into the first period.
• Bryce Smith at the 165 weight class won by decision (8-1) against his opponent.
• Isaac Matthews won by Techincal Fall (16-0) following the Smith decision.
• At the 184 pound weight class, Charlie Grygas continued his tear of victories by Technical Fall (21-0) at the 2:40 mark, earning five points for his team.
• Anthony Cascen, following Grygas was victorious over his opponent by Major Decision (21-9) extending the Laker lead to 45-0.
• In the 285 pound weight class, Penn State Behrend got on the board with a Fall at the 5:36 mark.

 WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will go on the road to compete in the Budd Whitehill DIII Duals in Lycoming, Penn. in their first meet of 2022. The dual is set for January 7^th.
