OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's basketball backcourt of
Chastin Giles and
Danielle Caivana combined for 35 points, but it wasn't enough to hold off Buffalo State in a SUNYAC setback, 78-64.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers got off to a good start behind three three-pointers by Giles and Caivana in the opening quarter.
- A Logan Nyemchek jumper kept them in front with 2:37 remaining in the stanza, but a 7-0 run gave the Bengals the 21-15 lead to start the second quarter.
- Buffalo State tried to pull away but eight points from Giles in the quarter kept the Lakers within striking distance at 39-30 heading into halftime.
- The visitors used a 24-point third quarter to break the game open with three more buckets from deep in the frame.
- Giles ended with 21 points and Caivana 14 while freshman Diamond Pickett had a team-high 12 rebounds.
- Senior Raiven Encarnacion finished with nine points while Caitie Lilly had five blocks for the second straight contest.
