CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's and men's swimming and diving teams finished in third place (of six) at the Cortland Snowflurries Invitational. Freshman
Simon Daw won two individual events and was a part of two winning relays to lead the Lakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just like yesterday, the women's team kicked off action with a win, this time in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as the group of Alexia Lemus, Keaton Maring, Allegra Neglia, and Twyla Nastasia finished in 1:45.19.
- Eva Potvin earned second in the 100-yard breaststroke while Nastasia took third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.66).
- Fion Hon was fourth in the 100-yard butterfly while Maring took sixth.
- Neglia and Hon went fourth and fifth in the 200-yard backstroke, respectively, for 29 team points.
- Lemus, Maring and Nastasia were third, fifth and sixth in the 100-yard freestyle for Oswego.
- On the boards, the unit of Laura Bornheimer, Jess Azoulay and Sophia Recuparo added 53 team points between the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
- Potvin concluded the final individual event with a Laker victory in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- Daw grabbed his second event win in two days with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle and a time of 1:47.89.
- Teammates Matt Rolph, Matt Seyse and Erick Zizic were also in the top-10 of the event.
- Like Daw, Zachary Brown won an individual event for the second straight day, taking home top honors in the 100-yard breaststroke in 59.66 seconds.
- Brown also grabbed a second in the 200-yard breaststroke later in the invitational.
- Senior Nate Einstein grabbed second place in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:38.66 and was second in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- The men's 400-yard medley relay team of Daw, Brown, Seyse and Ajani Isles was victorious in 3:41.14.
- Isles was also an individual winner in the men's 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:04.79 and Rolph took fourth (2:07.57).
- Daw then returned to the pool for another win, this time in the 100-yard freestyle (48.13 seconds).
- The final men's event was a win for Oswego as the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Daw, Brown, Rolph and Seyse in 3:17.11.

The Lakers will host Buffalo State at 1 p.m. on January 15 in the Laker Pool.
