Bats Stay Hot as Baseball Hammers Fredonia

OSWEGO, N.Y.
- The Oswego State baseball team's offense remained hot during a 17-3, 15-6 doubleheader sweep of visiting Fredonia.  Seniors Ryan Enos and Kyle Lauria did a majority of the damage, going 11-for-15 with 14 RBI and 10 runs scored combined.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
  • The game stayed close until the third inning when the Lakers batted around and put up nine runs to break the game open at 13-1.
  • 12 different Lakers recorded a basehit in the contest while Brendon Frank, Myles Felton and Dylan Frawley each scored a pair of runs.
  • Kieran Finnegan (2-0) picked up his second win of the season with six innings of one-run ball and striking out five.
  • Jake Danyluk pitched two solid innings of relief, allowing one hit while recording three strikeouts.
Game 2
  • After the Blue Devils took a 1-0 lead through one inning, Jonathan Luppens delivered a two-run homerun to get the lead back for Oswego in the second.
  • In the third, Oswego had their first four batters hit for the cycle with Paul Tammaro hitting a double, Frank a triple, Enos a single, and Lauria the homerun.
  • Oswego would continue to pour it on with four more in the fourth, three in the fifth and a pair in the sixth.
  • Enos was 4-for-5 in the nightcap with five RBI and Luppens was 3-for-4 with three.
  • Mike DiSalvo (1-0) earned the win with five innings pitched and seven K's.
  • Thomas Pecchia and Connor VanDreason closed out the contest for the Lakers.

WHAT'S NEXT
Baseball heads to North Country for a Wednesday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. with Clarkson of the Liberty League.
