BROCKPORT, N.Y. – In their opening action of 2021, the Oswego State men's lacrosse team fell on the road to the Brockport Golden Eagles by a score of 12-5 on a chilly thirty-six degree day in Western, New York.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles got out to a quick 4-0 advantage in the first six minutes of action.
- Oswego got their first goal of the season when Dan Doolan scored over the Brockport goalie's shoulder from an assist by Liam Dollard with 5:29 left in the quarter.
- The teams traded possession as Brockport held a 9-8 edge in shots to end the first quarter.
- In the second quarter, both teams had chances with 10 shots apiece, but the hosts were able to convert three more goals to extend their lead out to 7-1 at the half.
- After a pair of Golden Eagles' goals to start the third quarter, Dollard recorded his second point of the game with a goal at 5:15 of the third period on an assist from freshman Lucas Cioch.
- Junior Weston Gray added another Laker tally on a helper from Matthew Danielson.
- A third-quarter hat trick from Brockport's Jack Peterson helped the hosts keep an 11-3 edge heading into the final frame.
- Attacker Ryan Dumont opened the fourth with goal on an assist from Gray and Cioch added one last goal from a Dumont assist.
- Brockport's edges in shots (42-29), shots-on-goal (23-14) and caused turnovers (15-6) was a big story in the contest.
- In goal, senior Kevin O'Donnell had a game-high nine saves.
