HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1

  • Catcher Dylan Frawley sacrificed to move both runners into scoring position and Sam Allen converted the sacrifice fly to put the Lakers up 1-0.
  • Shortstop Paul Tammaro followed with an RBI-single to left field to bring Stanton home.
  • In the third inning, senior Ryan Enos doubled and moved to third on a wild pitch before fellow senior Ryan Weiss hit the sac fly to make it 3-0.
  • The Lakers doubled their lead in the fourth when Allen reached by error and Tammaro homered to left.
  • Senior Myles Felton followed with a homer of his own to make it 6-0.
  • Oswego was cruising until the seventh when a trio of walks and a trio of singles helped the Blue Devils close the gap to 6-5.
  • It was a quick recovery as Frawley homered with Stanton aboard in the eighth to move it back to 8-5.
  • Junior Pecchia, who closed out the seventh, then kept Fredonia off the scoreboard in the eighth as well.
  • Graduate Student Jake Terrill came on in the ninth and got three straight groundouts to Tammaro at shortstop for the save, his first of the season.
  • Freshman Jai Sharma (2-0) earned the win for Oswego by going five innings, allowing no runs and striking out eight.
Game 2
  • In the nightcap, Tammaro singled, stole second, went to third on a passed ball before scoring on a Ryan Weiss single.
  • Junior Kyle Lauria and Felton reached by way of walk, setting the table for the Drew grandslam that put Oswego in charge 5-0 after one half inning.
  • Fredonia broke through with a homer of their own in the bottom of the fourth inning.
  • A fielder's choice by Frank Levanti, RBI-walk by Hunter Holliday and sacrifice fly by Brendon Frank added three more to the lead in the top of the fifth.
  • Kieran Finnegan pitch two perfect innings before Ronald Loomis added three of one-run baseball.
  • Senior Jared Kwicinski struck out two batters in a scoreless sixth inning and Connor VanDreason finished off the seventh.
