- Things got interesting for senior Mike Di Salvo in the ninth with a leadoff homer and a two-out bases loaded situation, but he worked out of it by inducing a flyout to earn his first save of the season.
- The entire top of the order (Tammaro, Frank, Enos and Lauria) went 2-for-5 in the game

Game 2

- Oswego countered in the second when Connor Stanton doubled home Felton and Jacob Levine.
- An RBI single by Frank in the third and homer by Felton in the fourth tied the game at 4-4.
- A Ryan Weiss two-run homerun in the fifth put Oswego up for the first time in the contest.
- Tammaro made it three straight innings with homers for the Lakers as they pushed out to a 7-4 lead through the top of the sixth.
- Cortland responded with a pair of homeruns in the bottom half, the second a two-run shot, to tie the game back up at seven.
- The Red Dragons would plate three more in their half of the seventh to go up 10-7.
- RBI's from catcher Dylan Frawley and Frank would cut it to 10-9 heading into the ninth.
- A single from Lauria and a stolen base set the table for Weiss who delivered the RBI single to tie the game up.
- In the bottom of the tenth, a one-out homerun tied the series and sent the Championship to a deciding game.
- Frank went 4-for-4 in the game while Weiss was 4-for-5 and Stanton 3-for-4.
- VanFossen (5-1) took the loss despite just allowing the one hit over two and a third of an inning.
