OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team kicked off action at the Oswego Invitational with a 3-1 win over Elmira College to even their season record at 5-5. Junior

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After dropping the opening set, the Laker defense held Elmira to six, five, and seven kills in each of the next three sets.
- Oswego recorded a season-high 52 team kills in the match with Simplicio leading with 11 and Chiffiller notching 10.
- Junior Emma Fiorentine added nine kills and sophomore Georgia Farry had eight out of the middle.
- The Lakers also recorded a season high attack percentage, hitting at a .264 clip as a team.
- On defense, Chiffriller led with 19 digs while senior Skylar Bechard had 15.
- McKenna Corbin had 21 assists while senior Dana Carey had 12 assists and four kills.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers return to Ziel tomorrow with matches at 11 a.m. against SUNY Canton and 3 p.m. against St. John Fisher.
