ALFRED, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team lost a close 5-to-4 decision on the road at Alfred on Saturday in their second straight day of competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Miryam Makutonin and Alyx Sperling won 8-7 at First Doubles.
• Alfred bounced back and won 8-4 and 8-3 at Second and Third Doubles for the 2-1 lead.
• Makutonin (10-2), Sperling (10-7) and freshman Rafaela Dimitrakopoulou (10-1) all won their singles matches.
• Mattie Wallace (6-10), Jessica DuPont (2-10) and Jenna Wilson (1-10) fell in their matches.
