OSWEGO, N.Y. – Playing their third match in the last three days, the women's tennis team took care of business and defeated the Gators of Sage College by a 6-3 score on a sunny afternoon on the Romney Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mattie Wallace and Jessica DuPont put the first point on the board for Oswego with an 8-0 win at Third Doubles.
- Junior Jenna Wilson and sophomore Debora Win pulled away from a 5-5 score to win 8-6 at Second Doubles.
- At First Doubles, Miryam Makutonin and Alyx Sperling fell behind by two sets before going up 3-2.
- Sage took five of the next six sets to go up 7-3, but Oswego's top duo closed it back to 7-6 before falling 8-6.
- Sperling swept her match at Second Singles as did Rafaela Dimitrakopoulou at Fifth Singles and Wallace at Sixth Singles.
- DuPont cruised in the first set at Third Singles before dropping the second set and winning in the tie breaker.
- Wilson played well but lost a 6-4, 6-4 matchup at Fourth Singles.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers get a 10-day break before hosting Utica College on Wednesday, September 29 at 4 p.m. on the Romney Courts.
