OSWEGO, N.Y. – Looking to bounce back after a grueling five-set battle on Friday night, and despite managing five set points in the opening stanza, the Oswego State volleyball team was swept on the road at Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers fall to 6-8 overall and 0-3 in SUNYAC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Much like Friday, the Lakers came out strong in the first set with leads of 10-5 and 21-17.
- After a block by sophomore Grace Taylor and Cara Simplicio to make it 24-19, the Bengals rattled off six straight points to take a 25-24 lead.
- Simplicio tied the score at 25 with a kill, but a kill and an ace from Buffalo State gave them the 1-0 lead.
- In the second, Buffalo State used runs of four and six points to win 25-16.
- The Lakers were down 9-3 early in the third, but fought back to 21-19 behind six kills from middles Georgia Farry and Taylor.
- Buffalo State would score the final four points to post their first win over Oswego since the 2013 season.
- Simplicio had 10 kills with Sydney Chiffriller pitching in eight.
- Senior Skylar Bechard had a match-high 17 digs with junior McKenna Corbin recording a double-double on 13 assists and 11 digs.
- Fellow senior Dana Carey also had a match-high with 17 assists among the setters.
