HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers went on an 8-0 run after going down by four early on in the first half.
- This run was lead the run with a pair of three's from Devin Green, continuing his early first half success against opponents.
- With small runs on each side the Lakers found themselves down by one point at 10:12 remaining in the first half.
- From here the Lakers started to pull away, going on a 12-2 run started by a layup by Jeremiah Sparks, giving them the nine-point lead (29-20).
- The Lakers had the advantage with nine points to the Bears six in the closing minutes, bringing the score to 40-29 in favor of the Lakers entering the second half.
- In the first half the Lakers scored 12 points off of 7 turnovers.
- Oswego out-shot the Bears 45.5% to 30.8% in the first half.
- The first five minutes of the second half was a seesaw of points.
- With 15:04 remaining the Ahkee Anderson received the ball from sparks for a layup, going up by 15 points (51-36)
- Anderson continued his play-making abilities, earning two straight assists on baskets from Christian Simmons and Sparks. Bringing the Laker lead to 19 points (59-40).
- Potsdam went on a three-pointer spree starting at 11:54, this cut the lead to 12 with 10:46 remaining.
- With seven minutes remaining the Bears came up with multiple stops and capitalized, cutting the lead to seven.
- With the momentum all in Potsdam's favor, leading scorer Julien Crittendon hit a crucial three-pointer, swaying the momentum and bringing the lead back to double digits with just under six minutes remaining.
- At the two-minute mark, the Lakers gathered two huge offensive rebounds, killing the clock.
- Achille and Sparks finished the contest just one rebound shy of a double-double.
- Anderson concluded with six points and four assists for the green and gold.
- Also scoring was Simmons, Luke Van Slyke and Cole Hunter.
- Oswego shot 56% from range hitting five of nine and 71% from the line (5-7).
- The main factor in this game was how the Lakers took advantage of turnovers from Potsdam, scoring 21 of their points directly off of turnovers.
