PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – For the second time in the last week, the Oswego State men's basketball team scored 109 points to win big, this time in a 109-70 road contest over the Plattsburgh State Cardinals. Freshman
Marcus Shelton came off the bench to lead the Lakers with 14 points and was one of five to hit double figures for Oswego.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Plattsburgh scored a pair of baskets in the opening minute and then the Oswego defense held them scoreless for four and half minutes during an 18-0 Laker run.
- Oswego would shoot 61% in the opening half to lead 62-31 at the break.
- The Lakers held a 38-13 edge in bench points in the first half and used 16 forced-turnovers to score 23 points.
- In the second half, the lead grew to 85-40 with 12:39 remaining in the contest.
- Transfers Christian Simmons (13) and Devin Green (10), sophomore Jeremiah Sparks (10) and junior Kaleb Cook (10) also reached the double-digit point total.
- Senior Brendan Mulson and freshman Ahkee Anderson each had nine points.
- Freshmen Joe Perlowski and Eric Londis each scored six points to help close out the contest.
- Oswego finished with a 66-30 edge in bench points and a 40-37 advantage on the boards.
- The Lakers came into the week ranked inside the top-10 nationally in scoring margin (18.0), scoring defense (57.8) and field goal percentage defense (37.12%).
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will battle Geneseo on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Max Ziel Gymnasium. As of this writing, Geneseo was 7-4 and the only other team unbeaten in SUNYAC play at 5-0.
