HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego struck first eight minutes into the contest as Canton attempted to clear their defensive zone and Ryan Dickinson intercepted and fired it to the front of the net where Josh LeBlanc scored the goal.
- It was LeBlanc's second goal of the season and Dickinson's sixth assist.
- The 'Roos answered four minutes later when they gained possession out front of Laker goalie Eric Green and fired a shot that was deflected over his left shoulder for the 1-1 tie.
- Just 21 seconds later, Travis Broughman was fed the puck by Connor Sleeth and Jackson Arcan for a breakaway goal on his backhand side to put Oswego back up 2-1.
- The Lakers ended the opening period with back-to-back penalties, killing off the first minor but a five-minute major extended to the second period.
- One minute into the second period, Canton equalized with 36 seconds remaining in the five-minute major.
- Three minutes later, after an AJ Ryan close-range shot, he corralled his own rebound and swung it to Clegg.
- Clegg took a shot through a screen and beat the Canton goalie for the 3-2 lead with Tyler Flack getting the second assist on the play.
- The teams alternated penalties throughout the third period, with Oswego having their own five-on-three late in the contest.
- Canton's special teams were strong in holding Oswego to 0-for-5 on the night while going 1-for-4 on their own power play.
- In the final minute of action with both teams at full strength, Ben Addison blocked the first 'Roo chance to tie and a second ricocheted off the crossbar, allowing Oswego to secure the win.
- The Lakers held a slight 25-24 edge in shots-on-goal but won faceoffs by a 36-16 margin
- Green finished with 22 saves in earning the win in net.
- Flack extends his points-streak to five games with 11 points in his last five contests.
