HOW IT HAPPENED
  • With six minutes remaining in the first period, Broughman took a pass at the point and skated down towards goal threatening a shot the whole way.
  • A Potsdam skate in front of net blocked Broughman's initial attempt, but he found the rebound and shot the puck home just as the Bears were turning a 4-on-4 into a power play for the shorthanded goal.

  • It was a 16-5 edge in shots-on-goal for the Lakers through the opening period.
  • The Lakers broke through with a power-play goal in the second period when a shot by Connor Sleeth rebounded off the crossbar out to the high slot.
  • Ben Addison sent the puck back on net where it was swept aside but right to Andreacchi who beat the goalie for his fourth of the season.
  • With 1:32 remaining in the period, Ryan Bunka broke out on a rush and sent a pass over to DiCarlo who scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season for the 3-0 lead.
  • Oswego improved to a 33-8 advantage in shots-on-goal through two periods.
  • The final period was more of the same with the Lakers gaining a 14-6 edge in shots-on-goal while holding the Bears scoreless.
  • Senior Steven Kozikoski recorded his second-straight shutout with 14 saves in net and the defense held Potsdam to 0-4 on the power play.
