BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Senior Isaac Mathews and junior Charlie Grygas each won a pair of matches as the Oswego State wrestling team split a pair of matches with Brockport and Pitt.-Bradford on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the opener, Oswego State got wins by fall from senior CJ Walz and freshman Anthony Cascen at 141 and 197, respectively, to lead the way.
• Grygas moved up to 184 and scored a major decision (18-5) while sophomore Thomas Coll earned a win by forfeit at 157.
• Mathews, sophomore Bryce Smith and freshman Jaden Hall each won by decision.
• In the second match against the Golden Eagles, Brockport kicked the match off with a pair of wins by fall and a forfeit to race out to a big lead.
• Coll and Nicolai Celestain were defeated in major decisions in the next two bouts.
• Mathews earned a 13-3 major decision win and Grygas followed him with a 14-4 win of his own for the Lakers' scoring.
• Smith, Cascen and Hall each lost by fall in the final three matchups.
