Jeremiah Sparks, the No. 22 Oswego State men's basketball team overcame an early double-digit deficit and defeated Geneseo by a score of 78-68.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo scored the first 11 points of the contest in the opening three minutes of action.
- Sparks had 13 first-half points to help the Lakers end the half on a 12-4 run and close the gap to 38-36 heading into the break.
- The Knights shot nearly 60% from the field in the first half.
- Brendan Mulson and Christian Simmons worked down low while Sparks hit a pair of threes to start the second half to get Oswego the lead at 52-49 with 10:30 left to go.
- Crittendon then had 15 of Oswego's final 26 points to extend the lead out to as much as 11 over the final 10 minutes of action.
- Junior Devin Green added 16 points and nine rebounds while Simmons finished with a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double.
- Oswego out-rebounded Geneseo by a 41-25 margin and held an 18-2 advantage in points off turnovers.
- The Knights have now lost four conference games in a row after suffering their first SUNYAC loss to Oswego just one week ago.
- On the flip side, behind their 13-game winning streak, the Lakers moved up three spots to No. 22 in the latest D3Hoops.com National poll.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers take on Oneonta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Max Ziel Gymnasium. The Red Dragons are currently tied with New Paltz for second place in the conference standings at 7-3.
