OSWEGO, N.Y.  –  The Oswego State Women's Soccer team dominated the Potsdam Bears, moving their record to 7-3-1. Scoring the goals for the Lakers were Brianna Winkler, Katie Delgrosso, and Lexi Thompson.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Oswego started off strong offensively, getting their two shots on goal in the first ten minutes, one coming from Emily Applegate (4:42) and the other from Katie Delgrosso (9:49).

• Oswego finished off the first half landing 3 shots on goal with the third coming in at 28:01 in the first half, by Brianna Winkler. Winkler's shot scored the first goal for the Lakers in the matchup. 

• Potsdam struggled offensively, landing only one shot on goal in the first half.

• Sophomore Perri Anderson saved the lone shot on goal she faced. 

• The Lakers defense continued to dominate in the second half as the Bears failed to get a shot on goal in the second half. 

• The Lakers offense kept the pressure on in the second half, tallying 9 more shots.

• Katie Delgrosso scored the second goal of the day for the Lakers (54:51), bringing her total to five on the year.

• Lexi Thompson netted another goal for the Lakers (85:46) assisted by Maggie Riordan, making it back-to-back games reaching the back of the net. This brings her total goals to two on the season. 

• The Lakers outshot the Bears 17-6, with eight attempts on goal for the Lakers, one for the Bears.

• The Lakers remain undefeated at home, making it five straight at home!

Oswego State will travel to Geneseo on Wednesday, October 5th at 4pm for another SUNYAC matchup against the Knights.
