GENESEO, NY  –  The Oswego State Women's Soccer team tied with their conference matchup against the Geneseo Knights this evening. The Knights entered tonight's contest riding a three game winning streak, while the Lakers had won their previous two matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers played a relatively quiet first half.

• The Knights played great defense in the first half, allowing the Lakers to get only two shots off in the first half, coming from Amber McDermott and Katie Delgrosso. 

• The Knights got seven shots off, but only two landing on goal.

• Perri Anderson finished the first half saving both.

• The second half would be more evenly matched, with the Lakers and Knights both getting five shots off each.

• Anderson would only face one shot on goal, ending in a save.

• Oswego would have several shots blocked by the Knights defense.

• Neither team would be able to pull away from each other, resulting in a tie. 

• Anderson would finish the night with three saves. 

• Graisa Madden would have two shots in the second half, while Jackie Marquardt, Brianna Winkler, and Maggie Riordan each getting one shot off.

WHAT'S NEXT

Oswego State will be on the road for another SUNYAC matchup against the Plattsburgh Cardinals, who have won their last two games on the road. The match will take place this Saturday, October 8th, at 1pm.
