BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Volleyball team traveled to Brockport this evening for a SUNYAC matchup against the Golden Eagles. The Lakers 11 game win streak came to an end as the Lakers couldn't match the Golden Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Lakers and Golden Eagles battled back and forth in the beginning of the first set, having seven lead changes and 14 tied scores.

Brockport started to pull away, getting three straight points, forcing Oswego to take a timeout.

The Golden Eagles would stay hot, making it difficult for the Lakers to come back.

Brockport would lead 13-7 before Oswego would take their final timeout in the first set.

The Lakers would go on a 4-0 run, forcing a Brockport timeout with the score being 13-11.

Oswego would fight to stay in it, eventually tying Brockport at 15.

The Lakers started to pull away, getting a 20-18 lead.

Brockport would bounce back, and tie the set at 23.

Georgia Ferry would get a crucial kill, to get the Lakers to set point, forcing Brockport to take their final timeout.

Brockport refused to back down, taking the set by a score of 28-26.

Emma Fiorentine would finish the first set with five kills, with Cara Simplicio, Georgia Ferry, and Sydney Chiffriller each having 4 kills.

Oswego would start the second set hot, managing to build a five point lead on the Golden Eagles.

Oswego would lead 20-15, then surrender a 3-0 run to Brockport before they suffered a service error.

The Lakers would surrender their lead as the Golden Eagles would find their groove.

The Lakers would fall in the second set by a score of 25-21.

Oswego had nine hitting errors in the second set.

The Golden Eagles' momentum would carry over into the third set, getting a six point lead of their own with the score being 12-6.

Brockport would eventually close out the Lakers with a score of 25-18.

Leading the Lakers in kills was Sydney Chiffriller with nine on the night. Cara Simplicio would finish the night leading the team in total attacks with 33. McKenna Corbin would finish with 33 assists on the night.
