POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Basketball team fell to the Potsdam Bears in a game that saw the Bears pull away in the second half. Shania Iglesias led the Lakers in scoring.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Lakers opened the game shooting over 50% from the field in the first quarter. They also made three of four from three point range, pulling out to a 17-9 lead.

The Bears made a run back at the Lakers in the second quarter, outscoring Oswego 15-9, and only trailed by two at the half.

Shania Iglesias led the Lakers at the half with nine points, and Logan Castiglione chipped in eight.

The game shifted in the second half, with the Bears knocking down six three-pointers while Oswego could only get one to fall.

Diamond Pickett had a big second half, scoring 11, but the Bears shot a higher percentage from the field and from three point range to secure their 10-point victory.

Iglesias led the Lakers in scoring with 14, while Castiglione and Pickett both had 11 points apiece.
WHAT'S NEXT
The women will travel to Plattsburgh to take on the Cardinals on December 11, and will look to shake off the loss and improve their record to 9-2.
