WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. – The Oswego State Wrestling team competed in the Lycoming College Quad on Saturday December 10, finishing in second place amongst the three schools of Lycoming, Pitt-Bradford, and Keystone.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the 125-pound weight class, John Vicario went 2-1, with a 10-4 decision win over Ja'Shad Bumpers of Pitt-Bradford and a second victory due to forfeit.

In the 133-pound weight class, Michael Santore went 3-0, including a fall victory against Anthony Coukart of Lycoming.

In the 141-pound weight class, William Piatti went 2-0 with a tech fall win over Michael Palinkas from Keystone and a fall victory over Darren Christian Jr from Pitt-Bradford. Brett Rosenberg went 0-1.

Both 149-pound Lakers, David Hammerle and Tyler Rossini, went 2-1 in total, though they also both competed in the 157-pound weight class. As far as 149, David Hammerle had one victory via forfeit and Rossini had one victory over Raymond Worsen Jr. by fall.

Both men had a victory in the 157-pound weight class, Rossini over CJ Riccobono from Keystone via decision and Hammerle over Henry Cummings from Pitt-Bradford by Major Decision.

In the 165-pound weight class, Steven Felice went 1-2 with a forfeit victory.

Charlie Grygas, in the 174-pound weight class, went a dominant 3-0 with two fall victories over Tyler Rozanski (Keystone) and Eli Crum (Lycoming), and a tech fall win over Kyle Keefe (Pitt-Bradford).

Bryce Smith also went 3-0 in the 184-pound weight class with two decisions and a fall win over Jonathan Grimm of Keystone.

Shaquille Daniel went 0-3 in the 197-pound weight class.

In the 285-pound weight class, Kevin Arriaza went 1-2 with a fall victory over Robert Quinn of Keystone.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will travel to Ithaca to face Ithaca and one other team to be determined in a tri-meet on January 7.
