HOW IT HAPPENED

Colgate quickly rushed out to a nine-point lead, employing a full court press that caused the Lakers some difficulty at the start.

That difficulty for the Lakers continued through the first quarter, and by the end of the first ten minutes, Colgate led 30-4.

Turnovers were something Colgate capitalized on in the first, with the Lakers having only 11 shots attempted versus ten turnovers.

The second quarter went slightly better for the Lakers, although Colgate continued to extend their lead. At halftime the score was 53-16.

Shania Iglesias led the Lakers in the second quarter in scoring with seven points.

Both teams struggled in the third quarter, but the lead continued to grow to 67-24 entering the fourth quarter.

The fourth quarter became a matter of the Lakers trying to get into an offensive rhythm, but Colgate continued to keep their foot on the gas and won 87-30.

Shania Iglesias led the Lakers with ten points, and Diamond Pickett had six.
