Day 3 Results

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's team added All-Conference performances by junior Zachary Brown and the 200-yard medley relay team to headline Day 3 action at the 2022 SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships.  The men slipped one spot to fourth while the women held in fifth behind top-8's from seniors Grace Parente, Eva Potvin and their own 200-yard medley relay squad.

THE BASICS

• Day 1 Scores:  Oswego Men's S&D – 250 Points (4 of 9); Oswego Women's S&D – 200 Points (5 of 9)
• Location:  Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center, Erie Community College (ECC), Buffalo, N.Y.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Women's Swimming & Diving

• Oswego State's women's 200-yard medley relay team (Allegra Neglia, Potvin, Alexia Lemus, Parente) earned 28 points with a fifth in their first event of the night.
• Freshman Fion Hon (tenth) and senior Keaton Maring (eleventh) combined for 13 team points in the 400-yard IM.
• Parente racked up another 14 points with a fifth in the 100-yard butterfly in 59.17 seconds.
• In the 100-yard breaststroke, Potvin took sixth for 13 team points in 1:10.23.
• Neglia added seven points in the 100-yard backstroke and junior Twlya Nastasia added six points in the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.16).

Men's Swimming & Diving

• The men kicked off Day 3 action with a third in the 200-yard medley relay (Ajani Isles, Brown, Raymond Paull and Simon Daw) to score 32 team points.
• Brown returned to action with a second in the 100-yard breaststroke to score 17 team points.
• Daw and junior Erick Zizic added a combined 20 points in the 200-yard freestyle with a fourth and twelfth, respectively.
• In the 100-yard backstroke, senior Matt Rolph took fifth and Isles was eighth for 25 team points.
• Senior Nate Einstein added seven points in the 400-IM with his time of 4:28.68 and Eric Dzierzgowski added three on the 1-meter diving board (298.65).

All-Conference
The top three finishers in each event earn All-SUNYAC honors which includes Brown (100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard medley relay), Isles (200-yard medley relay), Paull (200-yard medley relay) and Daw (200-yard medley relay).
