BUFFALO, N.Y. – Behind All-Conference individual finishes by senior
Grace Parente and freshman
Simon Daw, the Oswego State swimming and diving programs finished in fourth (men) and fifth (women) at the 2022 State University of New York Athletic Conference Championship meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Men's Swimming & Diving
- The group of junior Erick Zizic, Matthew Seyse and Samuel Argetsinger scored a combined 14 points in the men's 1,650-yard freestyle.
- Senior Matt Rolph just missed All-Conference with a fourth in the 200-yard backstroke.
- Fellow senior Pete Kovalovsky and Argetsinger added five more in the same event.
- Daw added 17 points with a second in the 100-yard freestyle and Seyse grabbed nine points.
- In the 200-yard breaststroke, Zachary Brown and Nate Einstein scored 13 team points and senior Sebastian Lasher added points in the 200-yard butterfly.
- The meet's final men's event saw the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Brown, Seyse, Rolph and Daw finish second and take 34 team points.
Women's Swimming & Diving
- The top individual mark came from senior Grace Parente who took second in the 200-yard butterfly and scored 17 team points.
- Freshman Fion Hon scored four team points in the 200-yard butterfly as well.
- Junior Twyla Nastasia scored 11 and seniors Vanessa Moss and Allegra Neglia added seven in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
- Allegra and Hon combined for nine points in the women's 200-yard backstroke.
- In the 100-yard freestyle, senior Keaton Maring took eighth (11 points) and freshman Alexia Lemus scored two.
- Senior Eva Potvin took eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke for 11 points.
- On the diving boards, seniors Laura Bornheimer (273.65) and Jess Azoulay (257.05) scored 11 points.
- The women's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Nastasia, Lemus, Parente and Maring scored 26 points in the final event of the meet.
All-Conference
The top three finishers in each event earn All-SUNYAC honors which includes Daw (100-yard freestyle, 400-yard freestyle relay), Seyse (400-yard freestyle relay), Brown (400-yard freestyle relay), Rolph (400-yard freestyle relay) and Parente in the 200-yard butterfly.
