BROCKPORT, N.Y.
– Behind an All-Conference finish in the 4x400 meter relay, the Oswego State Men's Track & Field program finished in a tie for seventh at the 2022 SUNYAC Indoor Championships.  Senior Kayla Guerre smashed her personal best in the long jump to lead the women's team to an eighth place finish.

  • Final Score:  Oswego Men's – 15 Points (T-7 of 9), Oswego Women's – 10 Points (8 of 9)
  • Location:  Special Events Recreation Center, Brockport, N.Y.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Women's Track & Field
  • Guerre crushed her personal best by five inches in leaping 5.15 meters (16' 10.75") to finish in fifth and lead the Oswego team with four team points.
  • Ashleigh Lacy ran an 8.28-second 60-meter dash to finish in seventh and then a 27.61-second 200-meter dash to score team points in both events.
  • Freshman Faith Coyle scored in the women's 800-meter dash with her time of 2:33.57.
  • In the women's 3,000-meter run, freshman Ellen Decker took thirteenth in 11:12.62 and senior Lindsay Fluman was fifteenth in the weight throw (11.90 meters).
Men's Track & Field
  • The 4x400 meter team of sophomores Aidan Harrington, Jack Hickey, Matthew Broadnax and junior Chris Dorney finished in 3:27.96 to earn third place.
  • Harrington ran his first sub-9 second 60-meter hurdles to finish fifth in 8.92 seconds and score four team points.
  • He returned in the 400-meter dash in the fourth-fastest time in Oswego history to finish in seventh.
  • In the men's mile, senior Nathan Couse set a new personal best at 4:33.16 and then finished in thirteenth in the 3,000-meter run in 9:10.27.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers head over to Rochester for the Atlantic Region Championships on March 3 & 4.
