OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Lacrosse team surged late in the fourth to try and complete a comeback against the Golden Flyers of Nazareth, but ran out of time as the Lakers fell 14-10 against the regional opponent.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Q1
- In the first 11 minutes the Golden Flyers dominated the offensive zone, going up 3-0 early on.
- As the first quarter neared the end, Julia Quirk and Sela Wiley added unassisted tallies as they cut the Nazareth lead to one goal.
- Quirk's goal came with 3:10 remaining in the first quarter while Wiley's came just one minute and 15 seconds later.
- Nazareth added one more tally with 40 ticks left on the board, bringing their lead back to two goals.
Q2
- The Lakers came out swinging in the second quarter, Wiley added her second goal of the contest at 12:25, unassisted, while Logan Castiglione assisted a goal off of the stick of Shae McConnell at 7:11, tying the contest at four.
- Nazareth added their fifth goal with 2:48 remaining in the half, snagging back the lead.
- Isabella Lembo found the goal column with 1:18 remaining in the second quarter.
- Just 23 seconds later the Golden Flyers broke the tie once again, putting them up 6-5.

Q3
- The Golden Flyers came out soaring in the second half, adding six unanswered goals to bring their lead to 11-5 with 5:30 remaining in the third stanza.
- This was the turning point in the contest as the Lakers now had a steep hill to climb to get back into the contest.
- This was a tall task that the Lakers took head on, Quirk scored her second goal of the contest to bring the Green and Gold within five.
Q4
- The Lakers came out to make a run at a comeback. Oswego's Quirk scored her second goal in a row and her third of the contest just one minute and six seconds into the final quarter.
- The goal was assisted by Madison Davis.
- Nazareth answered the bell, extending their lead back to five goals (12-7).
- The Lakers had a lot of fight left in them going down the stretch of the contest, Lembo scored her second of the contest, bringing the game back within four goals.
- Unfortunately every goal the Lakers scored, the Golden Flyers had an answer, scoring with 6:41 remaining to bring the game to 13-8.
- Quirk added her fourth goal with 5:50 remaining again bringing the Lakers within four goals of Nazareth.
- As they did the entire game, Nazareth answered with their final tally of the contest with 3:47 remaining.
- Wiley was not finished as she scored the Lakers' final tally of the contest, answering the Nazareth tally.
- Sarah Kamide concluded the contest with ten saves.
